Obituary for Phyllis Ann Johnson

Phyllis Ann Johnson was born September 22,1956 and transitioned from this walk of life on October 7, 2025. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and love touched the lives of everyone she met. She was the daughter of the late Annie D. Johnson and Norvell Johnson.

She is survived by her brothers, David (Juanita) Johnson and Larry (Dorothy) Johnson, both of Jacksonville, and her sister, Dorothy Nobles of Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by one brother, Norvell “Billy” Johnson.

Phyllis dedicated over ten years of faithful service to her workplace before she became unable to continue. She loved music, family, and dancing, and her favorite color was purple. Phyllis shared a special and unbreakable bond with her only sister, whom she loved dearly.

Though she was a special-needs individual, Phyllis’s strength, kindness, and joyful spirit made her truly remarkable. She helped raise her loved ones and was affectionately known as a second mother to many. She lovingly called their children her own and adored her six “grandbabies.”

Phyllis had no husband or biological children, but her heart and home overflowed with family and love. Her compassion, laughter, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
