Necia Jean Aldridge was born on January 16, 1936, in Grapeland, Texas, to the union of the late Huey “Buster” Hart and Velma Glasper Denman Hart.

Necia Jean Aldridge peacefully left us on June 19, 2026, at the wonderful age of 91, leaving behind a heartfelt legacy of strength and love. She was a cherished daughter, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, whose love touched everyone she met. Known for her caring spirit, hilarious stories, and her special knack for making each person feel unique, she had an extraordinary ability to reach hearts in a deep and uplifting way. Her wonderful memory lives on through her loving family, who will forever hold close her warmth and resilience. 

Necia accepted Christ at an early age and attended the Church of the Living God, now known as New Birth Church of the Living God. She was a spiritual woman who enjoyed serving the Lord.

Necia attended Fred Douglass High School in Jacksonville, Texas. She kick-started her journey in healthcare at Nan Travis Hospital and then continued her dedication at Sunset Nursing Home. 

Necia entered into Holy Matrimony with the late Henry Foster Aldridge. From this union, she was blessed with four sons and one daughter. Following that union, she was blessed with two additional sons and a daughter.

Necia is preceded in death by a son, Kent Lamar Aldridge; a daughter, Beverly Jean Aldridge; both parents; and a brother, Norman Lee Hart.

She is peacefully survived by her children: Jerry (Charlotte) Aldridge of Rusk, TX; Kirk Aldridge, Mike Aldridge, Rodney Davis, and Michelle (Harvey) Summers, all of Jacksonville, TX; Tommy Clayborne of Dallas, TX; and her bonus daughter, Benita Miller, of Dallas, TX. She also leaves behind 17 beloved grandchildren, four bonus-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who cherished her dearly. 

A Celebration of Life service honoring Necia will be held at Sweet Union Baptist Church, 302 N. Main Street, Jacksonville, TX, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00 am. Friends and family are invited to attend to pay their respects and share their memories.
