Lucille McCullough was born on June 5, 1961, in Smith County, Texas, to the late Mattie Bell Mackey and John Henry Mackey. She was reared in the Troup, Texas area and later made her home in Jacksonville, Texas, where she lived for many years.
Lucille was blessed to live 64 years of life. During her younger years, she worked a few years in the laundry department at various nursing homes and at Astro Air. However, her greatest and most fulfilling role was being a devoted stay-at-home mother who cared deeply for her family.
Lucille was known for her love of gardening and for the kindness she showed to others. Her gentle spirit and loving nature touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Bell Mackey; father, John Henry Mackey; Siblings John D. Hamilton,
Franklin D. Hamilton, M.D. Hamilton, James Hamilton, Alex Jr. Hamilton, Judith Brager, Doris Brock, Callie Lacy.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one sister, Mrs. Clara (Roye) Taylor of Jacksonville, Texas; six children, Troy Mackey (Jessica) of Jacksonville, Texas, Sergion Mackey of Jacksonville, Texas, Melissa Mackey of Garland, Texas, Sonya McCullough(Nikia) of Jacksonville, Texas, Tracy McCullough of Jacksonville, Texas, and Narvis Lawson of California.
She is also survived by her devoted common-law husband and special friend, Mr. Wiley Lawson, grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
