Contrina Renea Boyd, 53, of Jacksonville, Texas, passed away on May 29, 2025, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas.
Born on September 1, 1972, in Jacksonville, Texas, Contrina was the beloved daughter of the late Evelyn Joyce Boyd and Tommy Lee Boyd. She was a proud graduate of Jacksonville High School and a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Contrina worked for Tradewinds during her early years and was known for her strong faith as a member of the Baptist church. She had a vibrant personality and was always the heart of the gathering. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, listening to music, and bringing her loved ones together for family events. Her favorite artist was Keith Sweat, and the song “I’m Coming Home” held a special place in her heart.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Ahmad Rashad Chumbley, Sasha Raniece Chumbley, Ahmadrick Deshaun Boyd, Devante Lashun Boyd, and Bra’Kiya Deltrice Boyd; and her cherished grandchildren: Saniyyah Nicole Chumbley, Cayden Car’Nedrius Chumbley, Amiryah Tichina Marie Hill, and K’syn Jermaine Lamar Hill. She is also survived by her father, Tommy Lee Boyd, and her brother, Derrick Lamon Boyd.
Contrina’s warmth, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
